I met this lovely senior and her family downtown for a windy shoot! We weren't sure that the weather would cooperate but ended up with a fantastic evening. I love the textures that urban shoots provide and wind and skies full of enormous clouds only prove to add to them. Jayda, it was a pleasure wandering with you. Thank you for allowing me the time. I wish you the absolute best as you near the very end of senior year. Courtney and Ernie, thank you again for letting me photograph your beautiful girl, I'm so grateful. I look forward to seeing you again for her summer short. :) ~ B

These three folks are special people. I was so thankful to have the time to spend with them and though the temperatures would have kept many away, they persevered. Sharon, Charles and sweet Pearl, I am so grateful to know you, thank you for allowing me the walk. Love to you all! ~ B

I first met this family when their little guy hadn't even made his debut. Every single time I'm with them, it's a ton of fun. This little 18-month-old bundle of energy has the best little toddle in town and watching him run around with his wonderful parents is such a highlight. Tiffany, Shawn and Adyn, once again, thank you so much for letting me shoot you guys, it is always such a pleasure! ~ B

Pyramid Hill Sculpture Park, what a great spot for a shoot. We arrived early enough to be the only people there. It was a brisk but beautiful day and it proved perfect for this gorgeous family, pups included.

Abdelnour family, It was such a pleasure getting to know you all. I once read that "The family is one of nature's great masterpieces", your family reflects this wonderfully. Thank you so much for allowing me the time with you all. ~ B

Sharon Woods has been such a beautiful place to shoot this year. The leaves seemed to change in just a matter of days and it was evident with the three shoots I had here in a very short time. This handsome senior and his wonderful parents wandered the park with me as we enjoyed the pleasant weather and the sun, for about 30 minutes before the wind and clouds blew in. Thompson family, thank you so much for inviting me into this season with you all. I am so thankful for the time. John, I look forward to hearing where you end up and am confident that you'll find great success in your endeavors. Wishing a great senior year! ~ B

Julia ...

I have always loved shooting in October. The weather is relatively predictable though that certainly hasn't been the case this year. This beautiful senior and her wonderful Mom agreed to meet me anyway, despite the cold temps and chances of rain. Fortunately, the rain missed us and once we began wandering the temperature wasn't so bad. And you can tell by the photos, this gal has a genuine beauty, in and out, that naturally shown through. Julia and Trina, I had a great time walking Sharon Woods with you two. Thank you so much for your flexibility, for your time and for allowing me the opportunity to shoot portraits for you. I look forward to seeing what the rest of senior year and beyond bring for you guys! ~ B

Engaged in the Queen City ...

Every once in awhile you get to shoot something impromptu, that was the case for this surprise engagement. The happy and emotional expressions are genuine and the joy was definitely contagious. Marriage is such an incredible gift and I find so much pleasure in seeing folks decide to take the plunge. All too often, you hear about the challenges that come with it, how it needs to be taken so seriously, and there is definitely weight and truth to those, we all have our seasons, but marriage in its truest, most genuine form is unexplicably beautiful. I'm thrilled that these wonderful folks are so excited about their future together. Ryan and Carly, Congratulations on your engagement! I wish you loads and loads of unlimited joy and year after year of an abounding love. Thank you for allowing me the time! ~ B

The three boys in this family are among the sweetest, most adorable, chill kiddos I've met. I first met them when the oldest was a teeny guy himself and now he's grown well into his role of big brother. It amazed me to see how similar each of them are but also how wonderfully unique they are.

L & J, Thank you so much for allowing me to spend time with your beautiful family, yet again. Each time, I am genuinely find myself smiling throughout the shoot. Your boys are absolutely gorgeous and so incredibly sweet and you two are such unbelievably dedicated and wonderful parents. I wish you all the absolute best in life! ~ B
